This is going to be art's greatest moment since Mona Lisa sat down & told Leonardo da Vinci she was in a slightly odd mood.
Saturday morning, a favour, a bunch of singing, dancing and tinsel, its Korea baby. Simons school was having an English talent contest with the kids getting up and singing in English and dancing in Korean. I had agreed to be the Simon Cowell of the day giving marks out of ten on dancing/singing/confidence and the all important 'Happy Factor'. This was a late addition by Simon and myself just in case we were left with a tie for the win at the end of the competition.
Songs sung included 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight', 'Ob La Dee Ob La Da', 'edelweiss', 'Random Pop (don't know its name)', 'Something Stupid' and a few others that were slightly too ambitious for me to remember what they actually were. Actually if I am to be honest (a new trick I learned) all the kids were really good so we were brought down to the happy factor, thank Yoda that we included it. The Beatles cover of 'Ob La Dee Ob La Da' won out in the end with full agreement from the three judges.
After the concert we headed back for a well earned cup of tea and a bit of a sit down. And then it was off to do a bit of furniture shopping. I have not gone into much detail with regards to my apartment while being here - it's small, very small. So I needed some shelves to free up a bit of space. We took a walk down the road and found some clearance ones sitting outside a shop 15,000W BARGAIN. A short uncomfortable taxi ride later they were in their new home next to my sexy new X-Box.
We decided that as we had achieved a great deal in the day so far we deserved to go to Seoul on a shopping and dancing trip. I got hold of a few DVD's and some blank CD's blah blah blah you don't care.
We then headed up to Hongdae - an area in Seoul that is regarded one of the best for going out in. Had a really nice Italian meal then headed off for some bars, and to meet up with other Cheonan inhabitants who had made the trip up to Seoul for the evening. After meeting up we found a really cool bar with great atmosphere and great music. We asked the guy for a few tracks to come on and as they did we were asked if they could take our photo. I have no idea what this picture will be used for, but no doubt I will be receiving more offers from modeling agencies in the near future.
After reading over this post I noticed that it looks more like a journal/diary entry than something someone else might want to read, but hell it keeps you up to date with some of my adventures.

Remember, all the quotes from the month of Feb will be from TV shows rather than from films.
Also there will be a bunch of new photos up later today from the Seoul experience.
Also whoever it is that makes it hit no. 2000 on the site, please let me know.
Rock on
Alanowski out
ha ha. Gref says "it's from Blackadder of course, alanowski my good friend."
The greatest comedy EVER.

Scott.
I was 1999. If only I'd hit that refresh button. I coulda been a contender! Another dream bites bitter dust and all the world is ash and shadow.
Still, never mind, eh.
DFP.
Indeed Scott there is a prize and it is fantastic. It is currently in the post to you, but since I don't have your address I just guessed, so it may never reach you.
Well done to Mr Gref Stoikavich for getting that one correct, and indeed I was and will be looking for the correct series of Blackadder when I use quotes from it (and there will be a few).
Points so far:
Name -------------------Points
Porteous------------------ 9
Bomber------------------- 4
Chimpy------------------- 3
Gref----------------------- 3
Scott---------------------- 3
Stoobs-------------------- 1
Only 6 have entered the competition, but a clear leader can be seen in Porteous. Dave remember the time we did hurdles at PL and I ran along in from of you knocking all the hurdles over so you didn't have to jump? Great days.
