I'm in a glass case of emotion!
After a time consuming and, at times, arduous early morning trip to my facilities, I was running a little late for work. Just outside the door my phone began to buzz in my pocket. Unaccustomed as I am to a call at this time in the morning (10ish) I managed to get together the cognitive skills needed to answer said device. It was my boss.
“Alan Teacher, where are you” I quickly explain as vaguely as possible that I am near the school (everything is relative).
“What are you wearing?” Is she drunk? Nah too early. Is she annoyed with my usual appearance? Nah I look good, I look damn good. I inquire what she would prefer me to wear. Turns out I don’t have it, never had the need for a jacket until now, I suggest a tie and she seems to be happy with the compromise.
I am allowed an extra 25 minutes to get to work as I have to get home and then out again, that couples of yards back to my front door were difficult, but I managed to pull through. Stuck on a shirt and tie and managed to have a bit of a sit and read my book.
“Oh you look so good!” She exclaims as I walk in the door, maybe she is drunk? Nope, she’s right I do look good. I’m told that my classes for the morning are cancelled as I am needed upstairs for some photos. ‘DAMN’, if I’d known that then I might have made a bit of effort with my hair, and maybe got rid of the beard. No chance of this now though I have to do what I have to do.
At the top of the stairs I’m met by the 7 year old kindergarten classes, all standing getting ready for their graduation photos. Dressed as I was nearly 3 years ago in Aberdeen: cloak and mortarboard. Where I was wearing a kilt, they were wearing matching little tracksuits, but they're foreigners so don’t understand what is important. They all looked great and the photos should turn out well.
Like my graduation, I’m sure they all went off to get liquored up and dance like an idiot, great days. And for those of you who remember:
“SWEDEN”

As nobody got the last quote this one's a doubler, same film. Good luck.
Also, everyone please not that there is a link on the right hand side to 'Sponsor James' many of you know him as James Forster, some as Army James, but please give generously it's in a really good cause.
Keep in touch everyone.
I'd heard the pubs in Aberdeen were very formal, but I'd thought no shoes rather than trainers, not compulsory cloaks.
In my graduation photo it looks like I'm holding a diploma. It is in fact a length of white plastic pipe which has been cut to size and tied with a ribbon. True story.
Also, it looks like I'm wearing a graduation gown, when in fact I'm just being attacked by a very large bat. Not such a true story.
Al, I really think you need to let this film go. Nobody's going to get it. Just let it go! Move on! Move on, damn you!
DFP.
In the words of Janice no less, Oh My God!
It's Anchorman, The Legend Of Ron Burgundy. How, how you ask could I know that after all this time? Well today is the UK release of the DVD and I'm watching it now! Ahahahaha!
Two points. Slum dank!
DFP
As good as my word, just made a donation to James' run. So far it's just me (he said smugly).
We had a family wedding on Friday. My aunty Tracey concluded her life of sin with Greg and they are now bound in a union that only death or the decree of a minor civil authority can put asunder.
I was an usher, which as everyone knows is *the* key role in a wedding. And despite the photographic evidence to the contrary, I looked very much like a slightly older Scottish Justin Timberlake in my kilt and trimmings.
My only regret is that the bridesmaids were all under the age of eight. (Though I attracted more than a few stares from aged lusty fat women, oh yes).
In conclusion, where has everyone gone?
DFP.
Well hats off (then promptly back on because it's damn cold outside) to DFP for getting that one. I am surprised that it took so very long for you to get that one.
Perhaps I should only do quotes from Star Wars, and Titanic?
For the month of Febuary, all quotes shall be from famous and great TV shows. Stay tuned for a new post soon, sorry it's been so long since the last one.
