Spin a Web
Hurrah!! I hear you all cheer as I get access to the internet in my appartment. This means that there can be fuller and more interesting blog entries over the coming months.
The process of getting the connection was not an easy one, although my school helped me out a lot. I was on the phone to a woman who was trying to explain what the different packages and costs were. I then had to give her bank details, although there was a small problem with this as I didn't have a bank account here yet. After a little talking and then passing over to my boss, and a LOT of Korean talking, the issue was solved and I was told that the engineer would be arriving this morning.
I found out that the engineer spoke no English at all, I found this out about 15 minutes before he arrived at my door. He came in and worked away in silence for 15 minutes or so before saying "sign" and as I did, he pointed at a sticker with a number on it on the network box and said "call centre".
"I knew it!!" I thought, as he was leaving, he could speak English after all, they all can. They're just not speaking it to me as some practical joke. Well, I'll show them, oh yes, I'll show them.
