Mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in, next to soccer.
RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR
Have I got your attention?
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR How about now?
There are some photo's up of my day at Hyeongchunsa, you may have seen them? The day was ace, nice and warm (although it's winter here), the place had a bunch of stuff that freaked me out a little. Graves of the ancestors of the most famous military man in Korean history can open your eyes, so can a really loud noise though, what's more important? The park is dedicated to Admiral Yi who spearheaded the attacks on Japan in the last century.
The shrine that is dedicated to his memory is situated on the site of his house while he was alive. He must have had no neighbour's, as I'm sure they'd complain about the number of people that came round to see him. The most important things of the day were the swords (pics on the site) I think that the picture of the blurb connected with it is not clear enough though: Each sword has an inscription on it -
Sword one - 'Samcheok seocheon sanha dongsaek': translated this means 'As this sword is pledged to the sky, the mountains and the waters tremble'.
Sword two - 'ilhwi sotang hyeolyeom sanha': 'Once this sword is brandished, the country will run with blood', This is clearly the coolest thing that has ever been inscribed on anything, my mind went into overdrive and my love for the country increased.
Reaching boiling point I could contain my desires no longer and the inevitable happened. As I sat in the security room, awaiting my fate, I considered that stealing sword two was not a great idea, but what a great souvenir it would have made.
I'm looking forward to going to ArchieGemmelChunsa when I get home.

The quote is from the third in that ongoing series of brat pack films -- Dogma. I'm still haunted by the image of Alan Rickman displaying that he has no genitles.
DFP. Boo ya and, to the max, ka sha.
The lead has been extended by my Porteous. Hopefully some day he will consider a job involving films, or perhaps one at a airport.
Or maybe in the army, or in a book shop, or Playgirl magazine.
I'm not sure where I'm going with this.
Just to say, sorry the posts have slowed down of late, but I shall endeavor to add more regularly. There will be photos of a night out put up in a couple of hours.
